Membership & Annual Giving
Membership and Annual Giving contributions support the daily operations of the East Tennessee Historical Society, one of the oldest cultural organizations in the state. For more than 175 years, ETHS has been telling the stories, collecting the artifacts, and preserving the compelling and sometimes colorful history of our region.
ETHS fulfills its mission through award-winning educational programs, exhibits, publications, and student and teacher education. In addition, ETHS partners with the University of Tennessee to sponsor East Tennessee District Competition for National History Day. In fiscal year 2008-2009, nearly 70,000 people were reached by ETHS through visits to the Museum of East Tennessee History, public programming, and educational outreach.
