The newest exhibit on display at the Greeneville Greene County History Museum focuses on segregated times in Greeneville, and the use of the Green Book, available for African American travelers from 1936-1966.  This listed places serving African Americans. You can look up your hometown or travel destinations in the complete 1960 Green Book that inspired the hit movie.  Try your luck at our interactive map with one of our challenging questions. There are displays of Black-owned businesses from earlier times, as well as The New Hope and George Clem Schools.  You'll also have access to our Oral Histories of those who lived under those segregated rules.
